BAAA has been invited to participate in the first ever Speed Leasing Event presented by the City of Tampa Housing and Community Development in bringing rental assistance, landlords with vacant units, and clients together. There will be a mix between single individuals and family, not all clients invited are emerging from homelessness. Anyone willing to assist with any vacant units is invited to contact Andrea and encouraged to participate.
The event is on Saturday July 13, 2019. Landlords/Property Managers are asked to arrive at noon an to provide pictures or floorplans of their units, rental application, and ability to collect an application fee. The clients will meet with each landlord/PM as in a “speed dating themed” interaction.
The new City of Tampa Mayor is excited and will be present at the event to see the municipality, the private sector, and nonprofit all collaborating to assist residents.
