Just a reminder that since the BAAA trade show was recently held, people are trying to fraudulently sell supposed lists of our trade show attendees, which they do not have! BAAA does not sell our attendee lists, nor do we share them with third parties who could sell them. If you receive an email like this, please delete it immediately and do not click any links or reply to the spammer.
Pursuant to changes made to Florida Statute Section 509.096, public lodging establishments are required to adhere to new requirements to combat humantrafficking. Apartment communities are classified as public lodging establishments under Florida law, so these new requirements are applicable to our industry and will be enforced by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) starting January 1, 2021.
The Florida Apartment Association hosted a webinar featuring a representative of the DBPR to discuss these new requirements and how they would be applied to apartment communities. To view the webinar, you will need to log into your FAA account.
Each trainee needs to view the webinar and email Rona@faahq.org after completion to receive the certificate.
