Whether you’re a supplier or part of an apartment leasing team, you are always presenting information to someone. It doesn’t matter if you’re explaining a product or service to a property team, leasing an apartment to a prospective resident, training a new team member, or even advocating for a promotion—each of these situations requires the same core skill: the ability to clearly communicate an idea and engage your audience.
Many people think “presenting” means standing on a stage in front of a large crowd, but that’s actually the exception, not the rule. Most presenting happens in everyday conversations—during property tours, vendor meetings, maintenance discussions, or team trainings.
Presenting is simply the ability to organize your thoughts and communicate them in a way that helps others understand, connect with, and respond to what you’re sharing. In our industry, strong communication builds trust, strengthens partnerships, and ultimately helps create better communities for residents.
