Move-Out to Move-in: Unit Readiness Done Right
Build the Skills to Get Units Move-In Ready—The Right Way
Punching an apartment unit correctly is one of the most important skills in multifamily housing—and one of the most commonly overlooked. This 3-hour starter class gives students the knowledge and confidence to identify issues, document them properly, and walk a unit with purpose.
This course blends classroom discussion with hands-on experience at a local apartment community , allowing students to learn the process and then immediately apply it in a real apartment unit.
More than a lecture, this class puts learning into action with real unit walk-throughs and practical exercises.
Students will:
- Review real punch list examples
- Walk through a unit with instructor guidance
- Complete their own unit punch independently
- Compare results and learn best practices through group discussion
By the end of the class, students will know what to look for, where to look, and how to document it correctly.
This class qualifies for 3 continuing education credits needed for credential renewals.
