TBXyes - Learn About This Region-Wide Project

The BAAA recently joined with more than 20 other Tampa Bay organizations in support of TBXyes to support the Tampa Bay Express project. You can learn more about the project and read the FAQs at the TBXyes website.

TBX is now the only fundable transportation construction project on the region radar for the next 20 years.

In the past five years, an average of 160 people per day have moved to the Tampa Bay region, and the state forecasts population growth of an additional 650,000 people by 2025. We must ACT NOW to address traffic congestion and lay a foundation for future transit options. The State of Florida and FDOT are committing $3.3 billion to the first phase of TBX, but the project faces a critical vote by the Hillsborough Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) on June 22.
