Manatee Emergency Rental Assistance Programs

On February 24, 2021, BAAA hosted a webinar discussing the new Manatee County Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Program.  The webinar featured Manatee County's Denise L. Thomas, Housing & Community Development Manager, and Jennifer Yost, Community Development Project Manager.  A key feature of the new Manatee ERA program is that landlords may apply for rental assistance on behalf of residents.  A large portion of the presentation focused on going through the application process for both landlords and residents within Manatee's Neighborly online system.  A copy of the recording is available below.

To help spread the word regarding the program, Manatee County has developed this one-page flyer in both English and Spanish property managers can distribute to residents.

Background

Beginning February 16, 2021, Manatee County began taking applications for their new ERA Program.  The program will provide up to 12 months of rental assistance to COVID impacted households. The program is open to households who are below 80% AMI and who can demonstrate a job loss, reduced hours, or other hardship due to the COVID pandemic.

If you would like more information concerning this program, please visit Manatee County's ERA Information Page.
