I was distracted a few times while writing this column by incoming texts. Our smart-phone screens are taking the place of our inbox, and of course, our voicemail. It’s become the preferred method for communication these days. Apartment operators are getting a sense of this and are working toward using this immediate notification platform when addressing residents and prospective residents.
