Budget proposals $2 billion apart
The Florida House and Senate Appropriations Committees passed their respective budget proposals to be sent to their respective floors for debate and action next week. They are about $2 billion apart. Once passed in both chambers, conferees from both sides will buckle down and try to compromise on their differences and craft a final budget that can be sent to the governor.
