EPA Lead Based Paint RRP Training Program (06/11/2012)

Under the new EPA RRP rule, beginning April 22, 2010, contractors (painters, remodeling firms, plumbers, etc..), and others performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb greater than the threshold level for interior and/or exterior lead-based paint in homes or apartments built before 1978 must be certified. Firms must have at least one "Certified Renovator" assigned to jobs where lead-based paint is disturbed. There are notification, paint testing, work practice, and final cleaning procedures that must be followed, and most of these processes will be new to most renovation, repair, and painting contractors.

Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT)

Maintenance expenses are the single largest controllable element in any operating budget. This course is designed as an introduction for new maintenance professionals or as a refresher for the veteran employee, to give these professionals the knowledge and tools necessary to run an effective maintenance program.

CAMT Training includes seven courses:
The two non-technical courses consist of online learning followed by online practice scenarios; the five technical courses consist of hands-on classroom training followed by online practice scenarios.

Electrical Maintenance and Repair
